HISTORY OF FRIEDMAN AND FRIEDMAN
Our practice began in 1929 when Benjamin E. Friedman started practicing law in downtown Pittsburgh. Benjamin graduated from law school shortly before the beginning of the Great Depression.
In 1971, the firm began operating under its current name when Edward Friedman and Arnold Friedman, the sons of Benjamin E. Friedman, began practicing together with the help of their father. Edward and Arnold built the practice into one of Pittsburgh’s elite boutique law firms. Arnold moved to Israel in 1998 and began a law practice in Tel Aviv, while Edward remains at the firm. Recently, a grandson of the founder, his namesake Benjamin D. Friedman, joined the firm as an associate.
Over our many decades of experience, we have established close connections with our community and developed a reputation as one of the region’s best litigation and business law firms. We are proud of our Pittsburgh roots and are looking forward to continuing to grow and prosper along with the city.
